The Decemberists are coming to Boston.
November 3rd and 4th, a Saturday and a Sunday. The Orpheum Theatre. I almost deleted the Ticketmaster spam this morning, but then I thought “what the heck,” and scrolled through to see who’s in town.
Now I just have to find someone to come with me.

I refuse to be friends with any of the Boston crew who out and out right refuse to go with you. Except Bug. He made his disdain clear long ago, so he gets a pass.
If I lived in Boston, I would totally go with you. You could just go by yourself. I drove to Milwaukee to see My Morning Jacket solo, and it was one of the greatest concert experiences I’ve ever had.
My mom’s coming with me, because she rocks. I have to get a copy of The Crane Wife to her so she can listen before we go. She borrowed another CD of theirs a while back, either Picaresque or Her Majesty, but I don’t remember which.
Otherwise, I would have gone by myself. I missed them the last time they were in Boston; I’m definitely not missing them again!

And this time of year .. well I’ve got a bad enough spending habit as it is, I’m trying to reign it all in.
