Looking at it from a pure money perspective it was. At least in the short term. MS Leaving the table is going to lower Yahoo share prices. Now we have to see how Yahoo shareholders take it. If they like Yahoo's corporate policy, then nothing will happen. If they don't, they can make their wants known. The business community certainly thinks that Yahoo made a bad move.
